Due to new European Regulations (GDPR) and the ongoing Facebook data protection fiasco, the whole subject of data privacy and protection is very much in the spotlight right now, so some extra care is required.
Whilst you can import existing Subscriber Lists, there are a few requirements that collectively protect the integrity of SendReach and its Users, and ensure we conform to the various National Data Protection and Anti-Spam Regulations.
Lists to be imported should:-
Be Optin Lists generated using an Optin Registration Form
The Subscriber Records should include at least email address, date of registration and subscriber’s IP Address (all reputable ESPs record that data at the time of subscribing and that data can be exported).
Any other fields you may wish to import can be accommodated
The Optin Form HTML code automatically generated for each List now includes, by default, the required “Consent” checkbox which when checked inserts the specific consent of the subscriber to be sent occasional informational emails.
To import a List, a new List must first be created ready to receive the import, as illustrated in the sequence below.
Having Saved the new List, in Lists view select the Overview button, as below.
As below, select the List to be imported from your hard drive and click Upload File
You will now see a progress report as the List is imported.
Any addresses of an invalid format, or that are on our global blacklist, will not be imported. That blacklist is made up of email addresses that have proved to be of an invalid format, or in the past have bounced emails sent to them, or are Role Accounts as explained in http://setup.sendreach.com/lists-2/role-accounts-isp-terminology/
