For many, keeping a local backup of important data is an essential and prudent part of operating online, as Lists are probably any online operator’s most valuable asset. In today’s environment nothing is sacrosanct or immune to the activities of undesirable individuals and/or terrorists, and whilst a datacenter has not yet been the subject of physical attack that may not remain true for ever.
For others, being able to export Lists in order that one can access the data in another Application, maybe just a spreadsheet or a CRM, is all part of their List management protocol.
Lists can therefore be exported from SendReach V3. in .zip file format – which when clicked on extracts to .csv format which is compatible with just about any Application out there, and should the need ever arise, can be imported into your SR Account.
How often should one create a backup depends to some extent on how quickly you are building your Lists – the more new subscribers you are getting the more often it is advisable to do a backup.
In Lists > Your List > Overview > Tools > View
Select “Overview” from the view below, NOT “Tools” from the left hand Menu.
Select “Tools”from the view below.
Select “Export” > “View” as below
Finally “Click to Export”. When the export is completed click to save the file on your HD.
The number of subscribers exported in any one List will only be those that are “confirmed” – and not those that are either “unsubscribed” or “unconfirmed” or “blacklisted”, so the total exported may not match that shown in your SR Account.
