Most aspects of creating “Regular” Campaigns and “Autoresponder” Campaigns are identical, and therefore many Guidance Pages apply to both. Please see under Regular Campaigns if you do not find the guidance you need under Autoresponder Campaigns.
An Autoresponder Campaign is created in exactly the same way as a Regular Campaign, exept that it is designated as an “Autoresponder” early in the Setup, some of the settings are then a little different.
The Unsubcribe, Company Address Details and Report Abuse URLs should be inserted using the code as provided in the Download Link above.
NOTE: The Spam Filters and BlackLists are severally penalising emails that have the footer text and URLs forced down the page out of site by putting blank lines in after the content. WHY? Because it is a practice used by people sending SPAM. If you are doing it that means YOU!
Autoresponses can be added to the sequence and sent to all Subscribers including the first PROVIDED the number of days delay is GREATER than the number of days since the first Subscriber did subscribe.
That ability to include, or not, imports to a List on and Autoresponse Campaign is powerful stuff and has many ramifications for using Autoresponses when in the past one might have had to resort to Broadcasts.
Once activated you CANNOT change the Name of an Autoresponse even if paused. As the Name is only for your purposes, never seen by a Subscriber, there is little justification for wanting to change the Name. If you must however, then Copy (cc) the Autoresponse, change the Name which you can do as it has not been activated, ensure the Setup is the same, including when it is to be sent etc and Save and Activate. REMEMBER to delete the original or they will both go out!
Those Option Button functions are as below.
